On dance. - My Beatnik jumper

[Deutsche Version unten][unbeauftragte Werbung, da Markennennung]
Is there anything more stylish than a great cable work and a boat neck? Is there anything that works better with an A-line mini skirt to give you that 60s flair. I don’t think so. Which is why I am so happy with the outcome of my Beatnik jumper!
The pattern is by Norah Gaughan for Knitty. Surely everyone knows it by now, the design is from 2010, but the classic fisherman cables and the slightly retro shape make it absolutely timeless.
I’m so in love and every time I wear it, there is some serious Jacques Dutronc going on in my head. :)

A yarn frenzy - 12th Leipziger Wollefest

[Deutsche Version unten][unbeauftragte Werbung, da Markennennung]
Last weekend the 12th Leipziger Wollefest took place, so I took the opportunity to visit my Mum and spend a day going crazy about yarn.
And crazy it was, my dear friends. We arrived on Saturday morning shortly after the fair opened and the line to enter was already (or still) about 1 mile long (or at least it felt like it). There were so many people it was basically impossible to take pictures of the booths. And there were so many such beautiful artsy-yarn brands! I admit I hadn’t realised how many great brands for hand-dyed yarn we have in Germany. Of course, the Wollmeise booth was absolutely crowded the whole time I was there, but I found some other treasures.

Cleo - The Comfy Dress

[Deutsche Version unten][unbeauftragte Werbung, da Markennennung]
This make is an old(er) one I never got around taking pictures of, not even for my tumblr. At the same time it’s such a loved piece! I wear it all the time because I just love that style and it is just sooo comfortable. My man-friend and I are actually calling it the “Comfy Dress” instead of it’s real name: Cleo.
