Dieses Jahr fällt es mir irgendwie ein bisschen schwer, Zeit mit meinen Nadeln zu verbringen oder etwas zu fabrizieren, dass einen Blogeintrag wert wäre. Aber in dieses Teil bin ich so richtig reinverliebt und es gehört zu den wenigen, die ich wirklich zeitnah nach der Fertigstellung fotografiert hab. Mein Rucksack "Nuoli" ist einfach großartig geworden!
Das Design ist von Molla Mills für Katia Garne und in typischer Molla-Art in Tapestry gehäkelt. Klassisch Schwarz-Weiß. Damit kriegt man mich immer und schon beim Übersetzen der Anleitung für Katia damals wusste ich: Den MUSS ich einfach machen!
Ich hatte vorher tatsächlich noch nie mit der Tapestry-Technik gehäkelt (zumindest nicht, dass ich mich entsinnen kann), aber es war wirklich ein Kinderspiel. Naja, es waren ja auch nur zwei Farben involviert... Sehr motiviert war ich dann auch, sodass das Häkeln an sich nur 4 Wochen oder so gedauert hat, inklusive Nebenprojekte.
Gearbeitet ist er mit Stäbchen in der Runde aus Menfis von Katia (hier mal keine Ninjaaktion), einem Garn aus 100% Baumwolle, mit 2mm-Häkelnadel. 2 Knäuel pro Farbe sind beim Verbrauch angegeben, am Ende hatte ich aber von jeder Farbe noch ein halbes Knäuel übrig. Vielleicht mach ich also noch ein Mäppchen dazu. Die Farben habe ich kurzerhand umgedreht und Schwarz als "Hauptfarbe" genommen. Viel dunkler als das Modell auf den Fotos der Anleitung wirkt er aber nicht, oder?
Also habe ich aus einem Canvas (ebenfalls von Katia) ein Innenfutter inklusive kleiner Reißverschluss-Tasche genäht. Es war meine erste Innentasche und dank des Tutorials von Westfalenstoffe auch gar kein Problem. Außer, dass das Muster im Innern der Reißverschlusstasche auf dem Kopf steht. Sieht man ja aber eh nicht...
Am oberen Rand habe ich es mir dann ganz einfach gemacht: Futter in den Rucksack gestülpt, Stoßband über die Futterkante gesteckt und festgenäht. Dabei hab ich den Magnetverschluss vergessen, der eigentlich reingehört, aber das ist auch nicht weiter tragisch.
Der Rucksack hat ein Rolltop, dass mit einem Gurtband und Metallschließe zusammengehalten wird. Das Gurtband muss man zu meinem Leidwesen per Hand auf den Rucksack nähen, weil man mit der Nähmaschine nicht bis ganz nach unten an den Boden kommt. Am Ende hatte das Handnähen durchaus etwas Meditatives, hat aber verhindert, dass ich die Tasche vor unserem Barcelona-Festival-Urlaub fertig bekommen habe. Schade eigentlich. Ich hatte mich damit schon flanieren sehen...
Als Träger fungiert eine dicke Baumwollkordel, die an drei Ringen befestigt ist.
Insgesamt war das ein wirklich schönes Projekt, das trotz kleiner Nadelstärke ziemlich flott ging. Und das Ergebnis kann sich echt sehen lassen. <3

This year it's been a bit difficult for me to spend time with my needles and/or produce something worth blogging about. However, this beauty is my new big crush and one of the few projects I actually took pictures of shortly after finishing it. My Nuoli Bag turned out just lovely!
The design is by Molla Mills for Katia Yarns and typically Molla: classic black and white tapestry crochet with a geometric pattern. This is just exactly my thing and when I translated the pattern for Katia I already knew: I HAVE to make this!
I had never worked with tapestry crochet before (at least, not that I remember), but it really was a piece of cake. Well, there were only two colours involved... I was highly motivated so that the crochet part was finished in about 4 weeks, with me having other projects on the side.
It's worked in the round with double crochet stitches and Menfis by Katia yarns (for once, no ninja style here), a cotton yarn, and a 2 mm crochet hook. The instructions call for 2 balls of yarn in each colour. In the end I had half a ball of each colour left, so maybe i'll make a small pouch from them. I inverted the colours ans used black as the "main" colour. My bag doesn't look much darker than the one in the pattern picture thoug. Does it?
So I sewed on from a canvas (also by Katia Yarns & Fabrics), including a small inside pocket with a zipper. It was my very first zipper pocket, but I just followed this tutorial by Westfalenstoffe. It turned out well and easier than I had expected. Beside the fact that the fabric pattern is upside down on the inside of the pocket. Well, noone will see that anyway.
For the upper edge I chose the easy way: I inserted the lining into the bag, then sewed a black selvedge ribbon over the edge of the lining. Right afterwards I realised that I had forgotten the magnetic clasp you were supposed to attach on the upper edge. I believe I can live without it.
The bag has a roll top that is held in place by a belt strap and a buckle. Unfortunately, you have to sew the belt webbing to the bag by hand, as it is impossible to reach the bag bottom with the sewing machine. After all, the handsewing was good for meditation. But it also made it impossible to finish the bag before our Barcelona/festival vacation. What a pity! I could already see me roaming the city's streets with my new. rucksack...
The shoulder straps are formed by a thick cotton cord tied to three metal rings.
All in all, it was a quick, fun project. And the result speaks for itself. <3
